Thousands of residents have died, suffered severe illnesses, or been hospitalized as COVID-19 outbreaks sweep through their facilities. Locked away from their loved ones, residents are suffering and dying alone in facilities that are not prepared or staffed to keep them safe during this pandemic.
State Orders Nursing Homes to Admit COVID-19 patients FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE April 6, 2020 After weeks of warning Californians about the deadly threat the coronavirus poses to nursing home residents, the State of California has now ordered California nursing home operators to bring the virus into their facilities, knowing full well it is likely to kill many residents.
Please note that these files have been updated on March 31st, reflecting the current California Department of Health’s policy to force nursing homes to accept COVID-19 positive patients.
